He's not gunna kill the Phoenix, it's pivotal to his storyline. In retrospect maybe instead of the treasure chest, it should have been the esper crystal in the cave. And if I remember right, it was a molten lava type of underground cave... but you guys didn't remind me in time so it's really all on you.

In any case, I'm digging through old stuff that I never finished since it gives me more of a jumpstart than starting from scratch. No idea what I'll find next. It's like a little graveyard of .psd files.

Hope ya dig! :)

*EDIT: I woke up today and logged into Deviant to see that I had over 1k new messages. Never having happened before, I thought there had to be a busy stock photographer posting pics last night (because I usually see them upload in batches the most).

But wow, thanks everyone! Day made! :D

Seven was my introduction into the series, so I'm afraid I missed out on this character/scene. I have to say though, your rendering is amazing. I really dig the both characters... it feels like a moment of quiet awe. Really great work.

thank you very much. Hopefully you'll get the opportunity to play through it one day. It may be hard to go back and play something that's graphically dated, especially starting the whole series after the transition to 3d and epic cutscenes and all, but it's really worth experiencing.

I always say if you want a better story/game/product, take away the director's budget so that they have to focus on what matters.

You know, that is a really solid (and profound) philosophy; thank you for sharing that.

I love the work on the light. The phoenix is really highlighted with this ruby red that spreads a soft light on the character in this environment so dull. A real little treasure!

If you see a visual that makes you want to ask more about it. It's a talent you have!
Now I need to go work on my phoenix piece...

Epic cool.

Trigon: Did Arella told you what happen to your father?

Raven: She told me enough. She told me you kill him.

Trigon: No, I am your father.

Raven: NO!!!
